Clifton Forge Hosts 'Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade' By Ashley Prior Staff Writer Clifton Forge, Va (March. 17, 2026) – This afternoon the Journal was on scene at the Clifton Forge School of the Arts (CFSOTA) at 5 p.m. for the annual “Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade.” Participants lined up at the Gardens of CFSOTA before marching to the Historic Masonic Theatre, where festivities continued in the Underground with a plethora of finger foods, snacks, green beer, music, and an “Ugliest Knees” contest. Bill Parks of Clifton Forge was announced as the "winner" of the ugliest knees competition. All photos will soon be made available on the Alleghany Journal Facebook page.
