AHPS Launches App for Secure, Real-Time Bus Schedules Low Moor, VA (Aug. 13, 2025) - Alleghany Highlands Public Schools (AHPS) is excited to announce the launch of its new EZ A2B Parent Portal, a secure online system that allows parents to view their child’s personalized bus schedule. This upgrade enhances student privacy by eliminating the need to publish full bus routes publicly. Parents can download the app from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The acquisition of the new software was supported by the School Board to improve student safety and communication. In the future, the Parent Portal will also provide targeted bus route alerts. For example, the system can be used to notify parents if their child’s bus is running late. While most routes remain similar to last year, the Portal will always display the most accurate, up-to-date information. If parents experience issues with the app, they should contact their child’s school or the AHPS Transportation Department for assistance in locating their child’s stop and pick-up/drop-off times. Any unexpected system errors are being resolved today. The final updates will be completed by the end of the day. These updates may affect some students’ scheduled pick-up times. Parents are encouraged to review their child’s pick-up time this evening to ensure they have the most accurate information for tomorrow. “Thank you for your patience as we launch this new system. Any glitches will be addressed as quickly as possible,” said Christina Lemaster, AHPS Supervisor of Transportation. AHPS students return to class on Wednesday, August 13. As a reminder, bus routes may vary slightly during the first few days of school.
