CF Library To Host Rainbow Puppets July 23rd The Clifton Forge Public Library will host the Rainbow Puppets on Wednesday, July 23. The program will begin at 11:00 a.m., and will be held at the Clifton Forge Fire Department, located at 701 Church Street. “Around the World with the Rainbow Puppets” travels around the world to hear songs and stories, and to learn about friends from all over the globe. In France, they meet Mother Goose and her friends. In England, they meet “Punch and Judy” who have a decision to make because Punch wants to play with his friends but Judy has other ideas. In Italy they celebrate well-known tunes with new lyrics in “The Three Little Pigs Opera.” Africa introduces a hungry crocodile while a soccer team learns the importance of making good decisions. A trip to Norway presents the tale of the “Three Billy Goats Gruff,” and Mexico brings a bunch of butterflies and an opportunity to dance. The program will include surprises and lots of audience participation. While children of all ages are welcome and invited, “Around the World” is presented as part of the library’s summer reading program for children ages 3-12.
