Dolphins Compete In Upper Southeast Regional YMCA Meet Low Moor, VA (April 6, 2025) - Three members of the Alleghany Highlands YMCA Dolphins swim team recently competed in the Upper Southeast Regional YMCA Meet in Lynchburg. Jack Shull, Lincoln Rosales and Aiden Fry participated in this prestigious meet March 20-23 at Liberty University. Only swimmers who attained qualifying times were permitted to compete in this event. Approximately 800 swimmers representing over 35 teams from Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina swam in the meet. Jack and Lincoln, swimming in the 11-12 age division, participated in three events and each recorded two Personal Bests. Aiden, swimming in the 9-10 age group, swam in five events and recorded one Personal Best. “We’re so proud of Jack, Lincoln and Aiden,” said Shari Peterson, who along with Kathy Wilson and Amanda Yeagley coach the Dolphins swim team. “They all worked really hard, and all three had awesome seasons.” Jack is the son of Richard and Tiffany Shull, while Lincoln is the son of Carlos and Tiffany Rosales. Both are 12 years old and are seventh graders. Aiden is the son of Lee and Linda Fry. He is nine years old and a fourth grader. The Alleghany Highlands YMCA Dolphins swim season begins the first week of October and continues through early March. The Dolphins swim team is open to swimmers ages five through 19 who have passed the team swim test.
