 | Callaghan Elementary School celebrated the work of Deputy David Creedon of the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Creedon serves as the school resource officer at Callaghan. SROs are an invaluable asset to all AHPS schools. They build positive relationships with students and help to foster a safe and secure learning environment for students and staff. The Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office and the Covington Division of Police provide SROs to AHPS schools through cooperative arrangements. Gov. Glenn Youngkin declared Feb. 15 as School Resource Officer Appreciation Day in the Commonwealth. (AHPS Photo)
