Low Moor, VA (Oct. 26, 2026) - Miss Virginia, Maddie Marchant, a native of Lebanon, Virginia, showed up early Monday at Mountain View Elementary School to speak to students there about a variety of important issues.
The future broadcast journalist, told students about the importance of maintaining physical fitness, the importance of making healthy choices, avoiding alcohol and drugs, and emphasized kindess and consideration for those with disabilities.
As she noted, she has severe hearing loss in one ear and has celiac disease as well.
Her appearance was sponsored Alleghany Highlands Community Services and will extend to the other local elementary schools as well.
