Sept. 20     Deputy O’Conner conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Douthat State Park Rd and Mountain Valley Rd. Sept. 20     Deputy O’Conner conducted a traffic stop near Fairview Community Center in Millboro. Sept. 20     Several deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident near Kool-Dri in Millboro. Sept. 20     Deputy Plecker & Deputy Harlow assisted a citizen with the Magistrate. Sept. 20     Deputy Harlow checked on some livestock in the roadway on Douthat State Park Rd. Sept. 20     Deputy Altizer conducted a traffic stop on Mountain Valley Rd. in the Millboro area. Sept. 20     Deputy Altizer & Deputy Bryan responded to Chimney Run Rd for a report of a vehicle on fire. Sept. 20     Deputy Harlow checked on a disabled vehicle on Warm Springs Mountain. Sept. 21      Deputy Plecker assisted a citizen with keys locked in a vehicle on Douthat State Park Rd. Sept. 21     Deputy Plecker arrested Nicholas Puffenbarger on an out of area arrest warrant. Sept. 21     Lt. Miller spoke to a citizen about fraud that occurred in Covington Walmart. Sept. 21     Deputy Colaw responded to the Omni Homestead for a trespasser on the property. Sept. 22     Capt. Smith transported a prisoner from Alleghany Regional Jail to Lynchburg. Sept. 22     Deputy Plecker transported a prisoner from Alleghany Regional Jail to Bath County Court. Sept. 22     Deputy Altizer Checked on a disabled vehicle near Roseloe Ln in Warm Springs. Sept. 22     Capt. Smith spoke to a citizen about a hit and run in the Truist Bank parking lot in Hot Springs. Sept. 22     Deputy Plecker in the Bacova area checking on an Emu running around in the area. Sept. 22     Major Grimm, Deputy Plecker & VSP responded to Douthat State Park Rd for a report of a citizen making threats to harm themselves. Sept. 23     Deputy Plecker transported an inmate from Alleghany Regional Jail to Lancaster on the East Coast. Sept. 23     Capt. Smith responded to the Mitchelltown area for a report of items stolen from the back of a truck. Sept. 23     Deputy Fry transported a citizen to the Bath County ER with a medical emergency. Sept. 23     Deputy Bryan & Deputy O’Conner checked on a disabled vehicle on Mountain Valley Rd near Kool-Dri. Sept. 23     Deputy Bryan & Deputy O’Conner responded to a motor vehicle accident near Kool-Dri in Millboro. Sept. 23     Deputy Plecker spoke with a citizen about an assault that occurred at the football game. Sept. 23     Deputy Bryan checked on an activated business alarm in the Hot Springs area. Sept. 24     Lt. Miller arrested Sandra Gill on Assault on Family Member and also served a Protective Order. Sept. 24     Lt. Miller arrested Leonard Gill for Assault. Sept. 24     Sheriff Plecker, Capt. Smith, Lt. Miller and Deputy McGuire responded to Ridge Rd for a breaking and entering. Sept. 24     Lt. Miller checked on a disabled vehicle on the Straight Spur in Millboro. Sept. 24     Deputy Bryan & Deputy O’Conner transported a citizen to Petersburg Hospital on a TDO. Sept. 24     Major Grimm assisted a citizen with keys locked in a vehicle on Douthat State Park Rd. Sept. 24     Lt. Miller assisted the rescue squad at a residence in the Ashwood area. Sept. 25     Capt. Smith responded to the Hot Springs area for an activated fire alarm. Sept. 25     Lt. Miller spoke with a citizen about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Sept. 25     Capt. Smith responded to Indian Draft Rd for a single vehicle motor vehicle accident. Sept. 25     Lt. Miller checked on a suspicious person on Shady Ln in the Hot Springs area. Sept. 26     Major Grimm assisted a citizen with keys locked in a vehicle in Millboro. Sept. 26     Major Grimm assisted the rescue squad on Indian Draft Rd in Millboro. Sept. 26     Deputy Colaw arrested Harold Staples on two Augusta County warrants one for reckless handling of a firearm and one for point, holding and brandishing firearm. Deputy Colaw also served an emergency protective order. Sept. 26     Deputy Colaw assisted a citizen with the Magistrate. Sept. 26     Deputy Altizer checked on heavy smoke on Muddy Run Rd. It was a controlled burn. Bath County Sheriff’s Office emergency communications officers answered 300 incoming calls and made 166 outbound calls during this time period.
