Clifton Forge, VA (Sept. 9, 2026)— Alaska's Fiddling Poet, Ken Waldman, performed on the evening of Wednesday, September 9, at 7:00 p.m. The concert was hosted by the Historic Masonic Theatre Underground, located at 510 Main Street in Clifton Forge.

Over the course of Waldman's performance, the Alaskan resident told several stories and played a number of songs on his fiddle. He also recited several poems he'd written over the years, adding a unique variety to his already impressive act.

The audience spent the evening laughing, clapping, stomping their feet, and sipping drinks made at the bar in the Dean Underground. Even the Journal couldn't resist the urge to sway along to Waldman's soothing acoustics.
The Journal caught several smiling faces in the crowd before and during Waldman's performance. At left is Tammy Scruggs-Duncan, Alleghany Highlands Arts Council Executive Director along with Connie Moynihan.
