CF Main Street Announces Anthony Darcus as New Executive Director

Clifton Forge, VA (Sept. 2, 2026) - Clifton Forge Main Street is proud to announce Anthony Darcus as its new Executive Director.
Darcus brings experience in marketing, event coordination, community engagement, and downtown promotion to the role. Through his previous involvement with Clifton Forge Main Street and local businesses, he has worked closely with the downtown community to promote local businesses, support events, strengthen partnerships, and help create new opportunities to bring residents and visitors into Clifton Forge.
As Executive Director, Darcus will work alongside the Clifton Forge Main Street Board of Directors, downtown businesses, the Town of Clifton Forge, and regional partners to continue advancing our mission of strengthening, promoting, and supporting downtown Clifton Forge.
“On behalf of the Board of Clifton Forge Main Street, we are thrilled to welcome Anthony Darcus as our new Executive Director,” said Clifton Forge Main Street President Jenny Oeltjen. “We have searched for just the right person, and with Anthony’s background working with different community organizations throughout the Alleghany Highlands, we feel we have the right person for the right job. We are very fortunate to have him as our Executive Director.”

“There is a tremendous amount of experience within the Main Street organization and the Town of Clifton Forge, and there is just as much heart within our downtown community. I want to help showcase that passion and put it on display, whether through social media, community events, supporting our businesses, or helping create and pursue new opportunities for downtown Clifton Forge.”
Clifton Forge Main Street remains committed to supporting downtown businesses, organizing community events, promoting economic vitality, and highlighting the unique character of Clifton Forge. With Darcus stepping into the Executive Director role, the organization looks forward to expanding programming,
strengthening business relationships, creating new partnerships, and encouraging continued investment in the downtown district.
