Clifton Forge, VA (Aug. 19, 2026)— Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) held its annual New Student Orientation on Friday, August 14, just days before the start of the 2026 Fall Semester. The event began at 8:30 a.m. and ran until about 3:00 p.m. During that time, students checked in, received their class schedules, acquired their student ID's, were treated to a guided campus tour, and received direct help regarding the financial aid process.
Additionally, current students were set up at tables, giving freshmen the opportunity to sign up for the various clubs currently available on campus. Among those featured was the Faith and Fellowship Club, with current members Amelia Ostling and Jordan Bailey running the table.
