Covington, VA (June 28, 2026)— The Jackson River Sports Complex (JRSC) hosted Gospel in the Park on the evening of Sunday, June 28, 2026. The event ran from 5:00 p.m.—8:00 p.m. in the River Rock Ampitheatre and featured musical guests Milk & Honey and Faithful Praise.

Opening the evening was Milk & Honey, a local couple and duet made up of Melvin and Laura Snead. The Sneads' time slot lasted nearly an hour, at which point there was a brief intermission.

Following the intermission, Faithful Praise—a group formed in 2008—took the stage. Faithful Praise is a duo out of West Virginia, and made up of Tommy Fortune and Shari DeLange, with many working in the background to make all the magic happen.

Shari DeLange and Tommy Fortune make up the duo known as Faithful Praise, a longstanding group from out of out West Virginia.

Lisa Worley, Covington Parks and Rec Director, seemed to be enjoying the evening of praise and worship at the Jackson River Sports Complex.
