Clifton Forge, VA (June 26, 2026)— Despite a 15-minute (or so) downpour around 5:00 p.m. Friday night, Clifton Forge residents lined the streets for the highly anticipated "Beach Party." The Fridays in the Forge night was held from 6:00 p.m.—9:00 p.m. this evening and featured vendors, lots of sand—literally—on Commercial Street beside Northwest Ace Hardware, small swimming pools, bouncy houses, and lots of food.
Mayor Jeff Irvine, Town Manager Chuck Unroe, Councilman Dale Burdette, and Public Works Director Amanda Gunter were among those out and about, and full of smiles. The Journal also caught a glimpse of a small black dog with owner, Nikita Dressler, out enjoying the sights and busy streets.
Fridays in the Forge have not yet reached their halfway point. Residents may still come out on July 31st, August 28th, and September 25th, for those final three dates in 2026. The Journal anticipates these times will remain 6:00 p.m.—9:00 p.m., but will update the public if changes are made.
