Hamm Gets 4 Month Sentence For Alcohol, Vapes With Minors

 
Covington, VA (June 23, 2026) - The following is a new release from the Alleghany County/Covington Sheriff's Office.

"On February 23, 2026, deputies from the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office received a tip that an employee of the Alleghany Highlands Public Schools had been purchasing alcoholic beverages and vapes for juveniles.

Further investigation revealed that Raven Hamm had juveniles present at her residence where alcohol and vapes were made available to at least three juveniles on January 31, 2026.

During interviews Mrs. Hamm admitted to the offense and was subsequently charged with three counts of 18.2-371; Contributing to the delinquency of a minor and three counts of 4.1-306; Distributing, purchasing, or providing alcohol to a person under the age of 21.

She was convicted in the Alleghany Juvenile & Domestic Relations court and is serving a four-month sentence for the offenses at the Alleghany Regional Jail."
