Clifton Forge, VA (June 4, 2026)— The Historic Masonic held two special meet-and-greet sessions today in the annex of the 120-year-old theatre for the new executive director, J.J. Musgrove. The times of the meet-and-greets were 12:00 p.m.—1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.—6:00 p.m. There was a steady flow of guests who came in to meet Musgrove and his wife, Kate, during the Journal's noon visit.

We also paused momentarily to speak to Musgrove, who shared why he and his wife relocated from Morganton, North Carolina, to the Alleghany Highlands. "We were just looking for a location that was beautiful and a community that was welcoming and one that we could become integrated with, and also really looking for a collaborative arts organization, a collaborative board, and one that was really looking to grow, and one that we could add more value to; all value to just in general," Musgrove stated. "So this was after seeing the position open, and then being able to do a little research on the area and the organization, just seemed like it was a good fit for us."

Refreshments, including sandwiches and cookies catered by Mountain Field Market in Clifton Forge, were also served in the Annex.
