Clifton Forge, VA (May 7, 2026)—A few leaders at Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) gathered at the Moomaw Center today from noon to around 1:00 p.m. to celebrate the country's National Day of Prayer. The Classified Staff Committee served pizza and ice cream to guests, while Pastor David Brown shared a few words with the spirited crowd.

Tina Dressler, one of the Fellowship of Faith advisors, was on the scene with co-advisor, Melissa Newberry, to assist with the event. Melissa Unroe, the additional Fellowship of Faith advisor, was not present during the Journal's visit. Erika Hunter offered her voice to the event, leading the crowd in song, while Billy Dillon offered the closing prayer.

The Journal stopped in quickly during the event to capture a few smiles and should have those photos available soon.
Two of the youngest pastors in Alleghany County, (l to r) Ezekiel Downey and Jordan Bailey, were also present at today's event.

Erika Hunter loaned her impressive voice to the cause, leading the group in song.
