JRGS Research Fair Full Of Innovative Projects

Clifton Forge, VA (April 23, 2026) - The annual Jackson River Governor's School Research Fair was held earlier today at the Moomaw Center at Mountain Gateway Community College with fourteen students exhibiting some innovative concepts and drawing conclusions from their work.

The Alleghany Journal was on hand to interview the presenters, all of whom were full of energy and inquisitiveness.

JRGS Dir. Eddie Graham spoke with the Journal about the school, complimented the student researchers and said that many often go on to four year colleges note.

JRGS faculty member Heather Hough also was on hand for the event. Ms. Hough teaches an Introduction to Research course at the school - and it was evident that the students were using several neat tools to display their work on the boards presented today.

An awards ceremony was scheduled for later today.
