New Beginnings Church Holds First Service in Iron Gate By Ashley Prior Staff Writer   Iron Gate, Va (March. 25, 2026) – The Journal recently spoke with Pastor Eric Gutierrez at New Beginnings Church in Iron Gate, which has held its first Sunday Service, welcoming approximately 45 attendees. The church is led by Pastor Eric Gutierrez and his wife, Jennifer. Regular Sunday services will begin at 10 a.m., with no Sunday school currently scheduled. Special service for Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday are also planned, with a light breakfast to be served at 9:15 a.m. prior to the Easter service. In addition to Sunday worship, the church will host a weekly Wednesday night Bible study and prayer meeting, focusing on the Book of John, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Church leaders share a vision centered on building a multi-generational congregations focused on mentorship, discipleship, and spiritual growth. Ongoing updates to the building include reconfiguring the pews, improving the front access with a new ramp, and interior panting. The church emphasizes community involvement, encouraging individuals to come together around God’s word and prayer. When asked what he believes will encourage people to the church, Pastor Eric said, “Our heartbeat is to love people where they are, and walk with them as we pursue the heart of Christ.” The church also aims to support and serve other churches in times of need.
