CF Woman's Club Hears Victoria Patterson-Sorrels, RN On Preparedness Michele Wright   Clifton Forge, VA (March 2, 2026) - Victoria Patterson-Sorrels, RN, represented the American Red Cross Disaster Health Services during the March meeting of the Clifton Forge Woman's Club. She spoke about the importance of being prepared in case of a disaster, staying in touch with family or a buddy daily, and registering locally for emergency and weather news at www.alleghany.va.us or text Alleghany County at 38276. Victoria gave suggestions for what to stock at home and in a "To Go Bag" or at least a list of what to take should you be required to quickly vacate your home. While emphasizing that emergencies can occur anywhere, she gave the web address www.ready.gov as an additional resource. The next meeting of the Clifton Forge Woman's Club will be Monday, April 16th with Bobbie Wagner, CEO of the Alleghany Highlands YMCA as the guest speaker.
