VSP Ongoing Crime Suppression Operations Recovering Firearms, Narcotics, and Investigating Human Trafficking |
| Richmond, VA (Fri. 13, 2026) - From February 5, 2026 - February 11, 2026, the Virginia State Police, in partnership with supporting federal and local agencies, achieved significant criminal interdictions. Their ongoing efforts led to the recovery of firearms, the seizure of narcotics, the seizure of U.S. currency, and the investigation of multiple crimes throughout the Commonwealth.
Operation Highlights
Firearms Recovery:
A total of 6 firearms were recovered, valued at $3,500.
Narcotics Seizures:
Total seized narcotics amounted to 77.8 pounds.
Denied revenue from seized narcotics: $2,376,192.
Breakdown of narcotics recovered:
Cocaine: 51.9 pounds
Marijuana: 21.6 pounds
Methamphetamine: 4.3 pounds
U.S Currency: $57,964.
Stolen Vehicle Recovery:
One (1) stolen vehicle was successfully recovered.
Gaming Enforcement:
Seven (7) gaming-related tips received (2,080 total to date).
Human Trafficking Investigations:
Eleven (11) new human trafficking tips received (1,518 total to date).
Cases investigated or currently under investigation: 225
Individual investigative activities: 3,962
Victims identified and offered services: 83
