YMCA Winter Bash: Vendors, Food, Fun & More... By Ashley Prior Staff Writer   Covington, Va (Feb. 7, 2026) – The Journal joined the YMCA for their Winter Bash this afternoon. We had a chance to speak to Sandra McHenry and discovered that the YMCA has a Winter Bash and a Back To School Bash every year. The Winter Bash is a way to have fun and be healthy at the same time. There were so many smiling faces, a plethora of vendors, hot dogs and hot chocolate were served in the activities room. The photos will soon be made available on the Alleghany Journal Facebook Page.
