Chamber Holds Court Street Merchant Meet-Up Event

Covington, Va (Jan. 27, 2026) – The Journal joined local leaders and business owners at the former Court Street Restaurant in Covington at 5:30 p.m. for a Merchant Meet-Up.
There were many speakers including Allen Dressler (Covington City Manager), Kester Dingus (executive Director of Olde Town Covington), Autumn Morgan (Four Moon Designs), and brothers, Randy Phillips and George Young (S. G. Young Contracting LLC) to name a few. Greenway’s Real Estate and Auction, LLC provided light refreshments.
Brothers Randy Phillips and George Young renovated the former Court Street Restaurant located at 201 N. Court Ave. The trim was sanded and stained by hand downstairs, while upstairs there is an apartment with original hard wood flooring and many rooms. The apartments upstairs have two access points, the main entrance, and one in the back for more privacy. The building is up for sale with hopes to bring more business to the City of Covington.
