January 6, 2026     Deputy Harlow spoke with an individual in reference to fraud

January 6, 2026     Deputy Harlow did a well-being check at Mountain Crest Retirement Center     

January 6, 2026     Deputy Plecker took a report of a larceny on Mountain Valley Rd.

January 6, 2026     Deputy Plecker conducted a traffic stop on Sam Snead Hwy.

January 6, 2026     Major J. Grimm and Deputy Smith responded to a report of a child walking on Sam Snead Hwy.

January 6, 2026     Lt. C. Smith and Deputy Smith responded to a business in Mitchelltown for a female trespassing. Sergeant Smith arrested Jamie Monroe for trespassing after being forbidden to do so.

January 7, 2026     Deputy Altizer transported inmate from Alleghany Regional Jail to General District Court. Deputy Miller transported inmate back to Alleghany Regional Jail.

January 7, 2026     Deputy Bryan and Deputy Colaw responded to Kenwood Rd. for report of a larceny

January 8, 2026     Deputy Bryan and Deputy Colaw responded to an activated business alarm on Sam Snead Hwy.

January 8, 2026     Deputy Miller responded to report of property damage on Cowpasture River Hwy.

January 8, 2026     Deputy Bryan and Deputy Miller served a search warrant at a residence in Hot Springs

January 8, 2026      Deputy Bryan arrested John Rogers on two misdemeanor charges as the owner of a dangerous dog for fail to notify animal control of change in manner of locating owner or dog, transfer of ownership of the dog and willfully fail to notify the animal control officer at least 10 days prior to moving or relocating the animal.

January 8, 2026     Deputy Bryan conducted a well-being check on Douthat State Park Rd.

January 9, 2026     Major Grimm, Deputy Smith, Deputy Harlow and Deputy Rexrode responded to a motor vehicle accident on Mountain Valley Rd.

January 9, 2026     Deputy Harlow responded to report of disabled vehicle on Sam Snead Hwy.

January 9, 2026     Deputy Harlow and Deputy Smith responded to Mountain Valley Rd for report of reckless driver.

January 10, 2026     Lt. C. Smith responded to a report of rocks in roadway on Little Back Creek Rd.

January 10, 2026     Deputy Harlow responded to tree blocking roadway on Pig Run Rd.

January 10, 2026     Deputy Harlow conducted a traffic stop in Mitchelltown

January 10, 2026     Deputy Harlow conducted a traffic stop on Mountain View Terrace

January 10, 2026     Deputy Harlow and Deputy Smith responded to Lily’s Lane for report of trespassers.

Bath County Sheriff’s Office emergency communications officers answered 222 incoming calls and made 70 outbound calls.
