Gordon Jones Offers Extensive Audit Report During Called Meeting in Covington By Jennifer Bailey Staff Writer   Covington, VA (Dec. 20, 2025)— Covington City Council held a called meeting at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19th, at Covington City Hall. During that meeting, Gordon B. Jones, CPA and Director of Robinson, Farmer, Cox (RFC) Associates presented a handout to Allen Dressler, Covington City Manager, and all attending council officials, detailing Covington's financial situation. Jones, who has represented the City of Covington for 26 years, went page by page Friday morning, offering an overview of what the figures and graphs depicted. Jones also took the time to pause for questions from council periodically to ensure, no pun intended, they were all on the same page. Mayor Fred Forbes III listened intently during Jones' report of Covington's financial situation. Covington City Manager Allen Dressler offered a few of his insights during the meeting.
