Twinkling Trail and Brand New Christmas Market at JRSC By Ashley Prior Staff Writer   Covington, VA ( Nov. 23. 2025) - The Journal joined the City of Covington at the Jackson River Sports Complex this evening for the lighting of the Twinkling Trail and brand new Christmas Market. The Christmas Market began at 2 p.m. and ended around 6 p.m., the lighting of the Twinkling Trail was at 6 p.m. The Twinkling Trail will remain lit nightly from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. We were able to capture many smiling faces along with Madison Bennett (violinist), David Crosier, who sang a set of Christmas songs, and even the children of Edgemont Preschool who sang Christmas Carols. There were also horse and buggy rides that took you through the Twinkling Trail, a plethora of homemade goods, several food trucks including Love All BBQ, and you could get shaved ice of any flavor.
