The Historic Masonic Theatre Receives Significant Gift from The Crandalls

Clifton Forge, VA (Oct. 29, 2025) - The Masonic Theatre Preservation Foundation is excited to announce our “Opening Doors – Entertain, Engage, Educate” capital campaign with a goal to raise $1.2 million dollars over the next three years to keep the heart of our community beating. The Theatre strives to provide a place where our community can experience the joys of live entertainment, engage with fellow patrons, and to be educated so that we can grow together.

From fielding daily maintenance demands, to employing a small but mighty staff, to providing word-renowned entertainers and programming, the Historic Masonic Theatre operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with 60% of the revenue needed for operation derived directly from donations.

Long time residents, David and Henrietta Crandall have recently made a significant contribution to the Historic Masonic Theatre; and the Underground Performance Stage has been named in their honor. The Masonic Theatre Preservation Foundation Board of Directors is deeply grateful for the Crandall’s gift and of their generous support throughout the years.
