'Survivor Kits' Assembled For Sexual Assault Victims   Covington, VA (Oct. 14, 2025) - At the September meeting, the Covington Woman’s Club of GFWC learned about the coordination of local services and support for sexual assault survivors from Safe Home employees Elijah Dasilva Weikel and Carmen Landis. The club has assembled survivor kits for victims. The kits consist of personal care supplies and items needed when victims remove themselves from an unsafe situation. The Alleghany County Sheriff’s Department and Local forensic nursing experts were involved in determining items selected for the kits.
