Cougars Gear Up for Homecoming Weekend with Bonfire at Boodie Albert Stadium By Jennifer Bailey Staff Writer   Covington, VA (Sept. 29, 2025)— It was a blazing hot evening behind Casey Field tonight as the Alleghany Cougars prepared for Friday night's Homecoming game with a celebratory bonfire. The band played, the cheerleaders and color guard performed, and drinks and hot dogs were served at tonight's event. Following a few speeches, fireworks lit up the sky at Casey Field to dazzled onlookers. The Cougars, currently 4-0 in the Shenandoah District, will face off against Stuarts Draft for this Friday's Homecoming Game at Casey Field. Not only does Stuarts Draft share the same 4-0 record, but, ironically, their mascot is also the Cougar.
