This Homecoming season, the community is uniting behind the Alleghany Cougars with a spirit campaign like no other: “Claws Out for the Cougars!” This initiative is more than just a slogan, it’s a challenge. The call is going out for homes, businesses, and community spaces to be decked out in true Cougar spirit. From banners and streamers to paw prints, claw marks, and twinkling lights, every corner of town should roar with pride as the Cougars gear up for their big game. Why it matters:
When the Cougars take the field, they should feel the strength of an entire community standing behind them. By decorating and showing your pride, you’re not just cheering for the team—you’re building community unity, spirit, and lasting Homecoming memories. How to Join the Challenge: Decorate your business windows, doors, and storefronts Hang banners, balloons, or posters at your home Show Cougar colors everywhere—Navy Blue, Columbia Blue, and White Get creative with paw prints, claw marks, and other Cougar-inspired designs Share the Spirit:
