| Covington, VA (July 31, 2025) - Vincent Wyatt, a health and physical education teacher at Covington Middle School, will be inducted into the Radford University Athletics Hall of Fame this October in recognition of his exceptional collegiate track and field career.
Wyatt has spent the past 18 months teaching at Covington Middle School, part of Alleghany Highlands Public Schools, bringing the same discipline and commitment to the classroom that once made him a standout on the track.

During his time at Radford, he was named an All-American, earned 10 individual titles, and became the first athlete in school history to be honored as the Big South Men’s Track Athlete of the Year. He set a conference record in the 110-meter hurdles (13.60 seconds) and finished sixth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, Radford’s highest-ever placement at the event.
Wyatt continued his education at Western Kentucky University, earning a master’s degree in 2016. While competing for WKU, he broke school records in both the 60-meter hurdles (7.76 seconds) and 110-meter hurdles (13.60 seconds). His performance earned him a Conference USA championship title.
Beyond college athletics, Wyatt reached the semifinals at the USATF National Championships and represented Team USA at the NACAC U23 Championships, further cementing his status as a top-tier competitor.
