| Clifton Forge, VA (June 6, 2025) - The Masonic Amphitheatre announces its Summer Music Series with three strong events scheduled for each of the summer months.
The first in the series is Alexa Rose appearing on Sunday, June 22 at 7:00 pm. We are honored to welcome back Alexa Rose to the Masonic Amphitheatre.
“An enchanting new Appalachian voice wraps her rambling mind around a dream; it sounds like the soul child of Bob Dylan and Dolly Parton.” – NPR Music
Alexa Rose was born in the Alleghany Highlands of western Virginia, raised in the tiny railroad town of Clifton Forge. Though no one in her immediate family played or sang, she inherited a deep musical legacy. A sense of place and storytelling spirit became woven into Rose’s voice and songwriting. In 2019, she released her debut album “Medicine For Living,” the title track of which won Merlefest’s revered Chris Austin Songwriting Contest. Her 2021 sophomore release, “Headwaters,” was featured in American Songwriter and Rolling Stone, among others. Tickets at the door, $15.00.
On Sunday, July 20, One Eyed Jack will perform on the Amphitheatre stage at 7:00 pm.
One Eyed Jack is a powerhouse classic rock cover band hailing from Peterstown, West Virginia. Formed in 2008, the trio consists of Jonah Carden (guitar/vocals), Bob Carden (drums/vocals), and Adam Blankenship (bass/vocals). A unique blend of familial ties and musical chemistry fuels the band’s energy—Jonah is Bob’s son, and Adam is Bob’s brother-in-law, making their connection not just musical, but personal.
One Eyed Jack brings to life the best of the genre with their signature sound—energetic, harmonically rich, and always entertaining. Whether it’s in their hometown or beyond, One Eyed Jack delivers an unforgettable rock experience, proving that sometimes, less is more when it comes to musical power. Tickets at the door, $10.00.
On Sunday, August 17 at 7:00 pm we welcome back The Sweet Lizzy Project. The Sweet Lizzy Project performed last year on the Amphitheatre stage and blew the audience away with their unique sound and energy. Sweet Lizzy Project is a Cuban-born, Nashville-based rock band known for their electrifying pop- rock sound infused with classic rock elements. Originating from Havana Cuba, they gained prominence in the local music scene, earning nominations for Cuba’s equivalent of the Grammy Awards.
They have performed across the country, opening for acts such as Heart, Joan Jett, and The Mavericks. Their music reflects a blend of their Cuban roots and American rock influences, with lyrics often exploring themes of freedom and personal expression. Tickets at the door, $15.00.
Please mark your calendars for these three amazing events. Use our bench seating or bring your comfy lawn chairs or blankets. Concessions and restrooms are available in the Theatre Underground. Plan B in case of inclement weather is for the event to move into the Underground. Wendy Hudler, director of operations comments, “We are super excited to bring you top notch entertainment for our Amphitheatre series and we are additionally happy to showcase entertainers that represent our area of the country and beyond!”
