Last Chance Band Revives 60's, 70's, & 80's During Concert at JRSC
| By Jennifer Bailey Staff Writer | Covington, VA (May 24, 2025)— Just before 4 p.m. this evening, the "Last Chance Band" hit the stage at the Jackson River Sports Complex (JRSC) ampitheatre for a free concert that lasted about 2 1/2 hours.
During the concert, Last Chance Band entertained the crowd with a variety of songs from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. They included: "Jolene" originally performed and released by Dolly Parton in 1974; "Margaritaville," by Jimmy Buffett who released the song in 1977; "All Right Now," originally released by Free in 1970; "Manic Monday" by the Bangles, released in 1985; "Can't Help Falling in Love with You" originally performed by the king himself, Elvis Presley, and released in 1961; "Sweet Caroline," released in 1969 by Neil Diamond; "I Think We're Alone Now," originally released in 1967 by Tommy James and the Shondells before Tiffany's version came out 20 years later; and many many more.
