Covington, VA (May 24, 2025)— The fifth annual "Veterans in the Park" car show is currently underway at the Jackson River Sports Complex (JRSC), where it will remain until this evening at 4 p.m. At that point, the "Last Chance Band" will hit the stage before "American Honey" at around 6:30 p.m.

During today's car show, many folks arrived with family and friends, alongside many veterans, including Bill Atherholt. In addition to attending the car show, Atherholt also assisted in the "Tribute to Veterans" that took place at noon today. During that time, several speakers took the mic to share their thoughts, including Sheriff Kyle Matt Moore who noted that he always likes to make time for things that recognize veterans.

There are a few places to purchase food and drinks at the JRSC during today's 5th annual "Veterans in the Park" car show and there is still time to get down to the JRSC to enjoy the remainder of the event, browse the beautiful selection of cars, and attend the musical performances scheduled for later this evening. All proceeds of the event will be donated to the local "Veterans of Foreign Wars" (VFW).
