Mini Golf and Concession Stand Continues to Make Progress at Jackson River Sports Complex
| By Jennifer Bailey Staff Writer | Covington, VA (May 10, 2025)— During the Journal's recent trip to the Jackson River Sports Complex (JRSC) for "Youth Day," we took full advantage of the opportunity to check in once again with the progress on the upcoming mini golf and concession stand.
We ran into Covington city manager, Allen Dressler, recently who excitedly shared that the shingles had been put on the roof of the concession stand and that his guys were making fast progress of the building. The Journal can confirm his news.
As before, we were able to capture a few photos of both the building and 18-hole golf course during our visit. As promised, the shingles are now on the roof and the building seems to be coming together both fast and efficiently. Most of the faux grass has also been applied to the golf course —11 out of 18 holes, in fact.
The Journal will continue to follow up and keep track of the quick work being made at the JRSC on their yet-to-be-named mini golf course and concession stand. | | | |
