Clifton Forge, VA (May 9, 2025)— At 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, Mountain Gateway Community College —formerly Dabney S. Lancaster Community College— held its "58th Annual Commencement Ceremony" in the MGCC Convocation Center.
With well over 100 graduates, the ceremony began with the national anthem, performed by Mahaley Reyns Broughman, a 2016 graduate from MGCC. Afterards, Dr. John J. Rainone, President of Mountain Gateway Community College, gave a brief introduction. Then, several speeches were given from Marilyn Alexander, Daniel Casey Southhall, and Deana Williams.
At that point, it was time to award certificates to more than 100 graduating students this year from Mountain Gateway Community College. Finally, refreshments were served to the graduates and their families. |  | Mahaley Renys Broughman sang the national anthem at the start of the ceremony.
