Bath Community Hospital CEO Lingerfelt Highlights Community Care

| Warm Springs, VA (Oct. 3, 2024) - On Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, Bath Community Hospital's President & CEO, Jeff Lingerfelt, presented an impressive array of recent upgrades and significant moves that his organization has taken as part of its "Elevating Community Care" program.
Community members, physicians, emergency personnel, members of the media, and others turned out for an event highlighted by the hospital's progress and for a first-class meal at the Old Dairy Barn in Warm Springs.
Lingerfelt noted the Swing Bed concept, allowing patients to recover closer to home, a significant increase, in )clinic visits, a huge uptick in behavioral health visits and treatment of more than 75%, a more than 41% increase in surgeries, as well as a 9.5% hike in emergency room visits among other items of note.
And, he specifically noted the generosity of the Lettie Pate Evans Foundation as one key to the organization's ability to fund updated equipment and facilities to handle growing demand.
