| Alleghany Co. Sheriff's Office Arrests West Virginia Drug Suspects Fentanyl, Xanax, Handgun, Cash Seized> |
| Alleghany County, VA (July 18, 2024) - On 7/13/2024 the Alleghany Highlands Drug Task Force was conducting surveillance when a hand to hand drug transaction was observed. With the assistance of the Alleghany County Sheriff's Office, a traffic stop was conducted and subsequently 1 ounce of suspected fentanyl valued at approximately $3,000 dollars, and1 gram of Xanax, a handgun, $4804.00 in U.S. Currency and a 2008 Dodge pickup was seized.
Arrested were:
Triston Daniel Crookshanks (27) - 11389 Sweet Springs Valley Road, Gap Mills, West Va.
Dist. schedule 1 or 2 drug
Possess firearm by convicted felon
Possess firearm while possessing schedule 1 or 2 drug

Ragan Matthew Bostic (28) - 306 Greenbrier Avenue, Ronceverte, West Va.
Distribute schedule 1 or 2 drug
Possess firearm while possessing schedule 1 or 2 drug

Richard Andrew Harris ((21) - 219 Church Street, White Sulphur Springs, West Va.
Distribute schedule 1 or 2 drug
Possess schedule 4 drug without prescription

The Alleghany Highlands Drug Task Force is comprised of officers from the Craig, Bath and Alleghany County Sheriff's offices, City of Covington and the Va. State Police.
