AHS Celebrates Athletics Signing Day May 8, 2024   Low Moor, VA (May 8, 2024) - Alleghany High School celebrated Athletic Signing Day on Wednesday, May 8, with a ceremony in the school gym. Alleghany Highlands Public Schools administrators, coaches, families, and students gathered to witness the first-ever signing date for the merged Alleghany High School. “We are proud of our student-athletes who have reached this incredible milestone. This day is not only in celebration of their athletic achievements, but also their academic success and the positive impact they have made in our community,” said Ty Dobbs, activities director for AHPS. Signing letters of intent were: Max Madsen, track and field, Concord University; Brady Prior, track and field, Concord University; Purcel Turner, football, Roanoke College; Eli Weese, baseball, Bridgewater College; Hunter Depriest, baseball, Patrick Henry Community College; Caleb Walden, football, Roanoke College; Andrew Boothe, football, Bluefield University; and Dylan Pommert, soccer, Bluefield University.
