Douthat State Park Kid's Fishing Day Big Hit Here...   Clifton Forge, VA (March 30, 2024) - Several hundred regional kids and their parents/guardians turned out for the annual Kid's Fishing Day event, sponsored by Douthat State Park and the Douthat SPEED Group today. It was cool in the morning, but the temperature gradually rose into the mid sixties by noon. Wilson Creek was stocked with about 700 pounds of rainbow and brook trout and there were many happy and successful youngster fishermen and fisher ladies getting the job done.
