Peanut Butter Drive Held

 
Clifton Forge, VA (March 27, 2024) - The Mountain Gateway Community College Alpha Eta Omicron Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges, recently held a peanut butter drive to benefit area food banks, as well as MGCC students in need.

This drive is part of a larger Virginia Community College System initiative to collect peanut butter for the Federation of Virginia Foodbanks during March (National Peanut Month) in honor of the Virginia Peanut Growers Association.

Students eligible for membership in PTK must have completed at least 12 credit hours of coursework in their designated program of study with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Co-advisors for PTK are Lee Anne Bowling, Ashley Pratt, and Rachael Thompson.
