AHPS High School Students Recognized For Academic Excellence   Low Moor, VA (Feb. 15, 2024) - Alleghany High School continued a cherished Covington High School tradition on Feb. 9 when it hosted an Academic Awards Ceremony in Hodnett Hall. Principal Derek Cantrell recognized students from AHS and CHS for their academic achievements during the 2022-2023 school year. AHS became the joint high school this year as part of the Alleghany Highlands Public Schools merger plan. Continuing the CHS tradition of recognizing Distinguished Scholars and Scholars was an important goal of a student advisory group.
