The Mountain Gateway Community College Alpha Eta Omicron Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges, held a Halloween Costume Contest and trick-or-treating for students on MGCC's campus on October 31. MGCC PTK members who helped with the effort included Megan Rickett, Katie Shofstahl, LaShonda Ochieng, and Maille Carrington. Winners included (pictured, L to R): Katie Shofstahl, PTK President (2nd from left); Sabrina Burks, Most Elegant (3rd from left); Victoria Webb, Scariest (4th from left); Lee Anne Bowling Angle, Best Faculty (far right), and Rachael Thompson, Best Overall (2nd from right). Not pictured: Tamra Lipscomb and Ben Worth. Students eligible for membership in PTK must have completed at least 12 credit hours of coursework in their designated program of study with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
