The Mountain Gateway Community College Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges, recently led a trash pick-up project on the entrance and exit ramps of I-64, as part of its Adopt-a-Highway responsibility. Thirteen students participated in the effort. Students eligible for membership in PTK must have completed at least 12 credit hours of coursework in their designated program of study with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Co-Advisors for PTK are Lee Anne Bowling, Ashley Pratt, and Rachael Thompson. Chapter Officers include: Katie Shofstahl, President; Sondra Elliott, Co-Vice President; LaShonda Ochieng, Co-Vice President; Maille Carrington, Publicist; Megan Rickett, Secretary.
