Omni Hotels & Resorts Doubles Donations In Support Of Hunger Action Month
The company’s Say Goodnight to Hunger program aims to end food insecurity across America

Hot Springs, VA (Sept. 18, 2023) - In recognition of September as Hunger Action Month, Omni Hotels & Resorts is doubling its commitment to actively supporting those in need through its Say Goodnight to Hunger program. Omni is raising awareness for the fight against food insecurity with a campaign that calls on guests and locals alike to take action with Omni and give back to communities nationwide:

Book a room: Omni will donate two meals for all leisure and group bookings completed between September 1 – 30 across its portfolio.

Opt out of housekeeping: Omni will donate two meals when guests opt out of house cleaning services during their stay in September.

Buy a coffee: Omni will donate one meal for every large coffee or espresso drink sold at its hotels and resorts, nationwide.

Donate: Omni is driving donations for Feeding America® via a dedicated landing page on its website; visit www.omnihotels.com/hunger.

In June 2016, Omni launched Say Goodnight to Hunger to support the more than 42 million Americans who live with food scarcity. Donations generated from guest stays are made to food pantries in the area where the hotel or resort is located. Stays at The Omni Homestead benefit the food pantry at Ashwood United Methodist Church while stays at Omni Charlottesville and Omni Richmond, support pantries in Charlottesville and Richmond, respectively. Since the inception of the program, Omni has donated more than 24 million meals to food pantries across the country.

The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank serves more than 127,500 people each month in an area that encompasses 25 counties and includes Hot Springs and Charlottesville. In Bath County, the food pantry at Ashwood supports an average of 90 families each month, of which more than 40% are 60 or older. Associates of The Omni Homestead volunteer hundreds of hours each year assisting with the monthly food distribution. Each March, resort associates volunteer alongside the Mill Gap Ruritans making donuts at the Highland County Maple Festival and in return, the Ruritans make a monetary donation to the Ashwood food pantry.
