Kimberlin Arrested By The VSP After Fleeing On Rte. 42

| Clifton Forge, VA (June 29, 2023) - Virginia State Police cruisers eventually ended up pursuing a Lincoln Navigator SUV after it had been clocked doing 70 in a 55 mph speed zone on Route 39 at 9:42 p.m. on Wednesday in Bath County. The vehicle's driver refused to stop and turned onto Route 42.
The vehicle finally stopped at Nicholas Trailer Park in Clifton Forge and after a short, foot pursuit, Justin David Kimberlin was taken into custody.
He was initially charged by Virginia State Trooper M. C. Forbes with:
- eluding/disregarding police, a felony
- reckless driving by speeding more than 20 miles above the speed limit - a misdemeanor
- driving while revoked or suspended - a misdemeanor
- driving under the influence - a misdemeanor
- fleeing from law enforcement - a misdemeanor
Kimberlin was taken to the Alleghany Regional Jail. | | | |
