On a beautiful Saturday morning, May 20, 2023, about 175 Alleghany High School graduates received their diplomas at Mountaineer Field.

Valley Ridge, VA (May 20, 2023) - The final class of Alleghany High School Mountaineers walked across the stage earlier today to receive their diplomas. It was a historic day, indeed.
The graduates heard speeches from Superintendent of Schools, Kim Halterman, School Board Chairman Jacob Wright as well as remarks from AHS principal Karen Staunton, valedictorian Sidney Donnan and Salutatorian Aiden Williams.
There were two highly detailed introductions to the valedictory and salutatory speakers as well from Callaghan Elementary School principal Josh Craft and well-known AHS English teacher Josh Hagy.
Both the AHS choir and Band performed for the audience as well.
