CF Town Council Approves Linden Park For All Abilities Park Location

Clifton Forge, VA (July 26, 2022) - A group of Clifton Forge citizens promoting an "All Abilities" park was just given unanimous approval from the Clifton Forge Town Council to locate that facility in Linden Park.

The group told the council that the project may cost around $500,000. Councilman Dale Burdette asked to see the plans/layout for the concept, but none were available at this time. It's not clear what equipment will be installed.

A Linden Park location would offer the concept the ability to expand, according to Clifton Forge citizen John Moser.

The group is seeking grant funding and needed to have a location for the concept to proceed.

In other action tonight, the Town Council approved a resolution for the borrowing of about $100,000 to pay for various town-related improvements including building repairs to town hall, the police department and the library ($60,000) and $40,000 for a public works truck.

The Journal will have some video of the session coming up soon.
