Iron Gate Town Council Adopt Budget Water Rates Will Stay The Same, But Sewer Rate Climbs $7.25 Per Month By Judy Clark   Iron Gate, VA (June 30, 2022) - Iron Gate Town Council adopted the 2022-23 budget at its regular monthly meeting Thursday night, with water rates staying the same, but with a $7.25 hike in sewer rates, bringing the total cost of water, sewer and trash pickup for each household to $113 per month. Council also increased the cigarette tax to 20 cents a pack and $2 per carton. The town's budget is slightly over $400,000. In other business council accepted the resignation of Roberta Paradise; placed an ad seeking a resident to fill the vacant seat on council; and briefly discussed complaints from residents who live near the River Park.
