Rock Gets Three Mandatory Life Terms Plus 20 Years In The Clink Convicted Here Of 3 Counts Of Forcible Sodomy, Aggravated Sexual Battery |
| Covington, VA (Feb. 14, 2022) - Daniel Rock, 30, of Alleghany County, was sentenced to three mandatory life terms plus 20 years in the penitentiary in Alleghany County Circuit Court on February 14, 2022.
In October, 2021, a jury found Rock guilty of three counts of forcible sodomy of a child under thirteen and two counts of aggravated sexual battery. Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney, Shaun Mabry prosecuted the case which was investigated by the Alleghany County Sheriff's Office.
At trial, the victim's testimony about her ordeal was supported by DNA evidence linking Rock to the crimes. Mabry read a quote from the victim detailing how Rock's crimes have affected her life when he asked the Court to impose the three mandatory life sentences. | | | |
