I-81 Southbound Lane Closure In Rockbridge County

 
Staunton, VA (July 6, 2018) - 8 a.m.- The right lane of southbound Interstate 81 is closed in Rockbridge County due to a hazardous-material removal operation near mile marker 204. The materials are contained to a tractor trailer but cleanup is expected to continue through late Friday morning.

The left lane of southbound I-81 remains open but traffic is currently backed up about two miles. This incident is between I-81 exit 205 (Raphine) and exit 200 (Fairfield). Motorists can expect related congestion on Route 11 in these areas.
