| Botetourt County Ten-Week Investigation Leads To Meth Lab Bust, Four Arrests in Daleville
|
| Botetourt County Sheriff Ronnie Sprinkle has announced that a ten-week investigation by his detectives led to the Sunday night seizure of a methamphetamine lab and the arrest of four occupants of a Daleville residence on three meth-related charges each in connection with its operation. A 23-month-old child found inside the house was taken into custody by Child Protective Services and taken to a hospital for medical evaluation, the sheriff said.
Sheriff Sprinkle identified those arrested as: Brooke Wesleyan Bailey, 31; John David Campbell, 28; Jeremiah Travis Christley, 29; and Jessica Lynn Harmon, 30. Each has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and manufacturing methamphetamine with a child present, the sheriff said. All of them are in the Botetourt-Craig Regional Public Safety Facility in Fincastle and are scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday, August 2, in General District Court for Botetourt County.
A total of seven Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office personnel, including investigators and uniformed officers, participated in the lab seizure and arrests. Sheriff Sprinkle said that they were assisted by the Virginia State Police Tactical Team, with the Virginia State Police Laboratory Team and Botetourt County Emergency Services personnel helping with processing and decontamination activities. | | | |
